Ramping Up Captioning Enforcement

The FCC is warning brocasters that it plans to step up its enforcement of closed captioning rules. The bureau is looking at the number of closed-captioning complaints since TV stations switched to digital. The agency already reminded broadcasters that a daedline has passed for submission of contact information to the FCC about who handles captioning complaints at stations.
