New Bibles for Deaf

A new Bible for the deaf is in the works from Wycliffe Bible Translators and Deaf Opportunity Outreach International (DOOR). The two groups are working together to produce a version of Scipture in video form for a variety of sign languages around the world. There is a New Testament in ASL and a version for the Old Testament is being developed now in ASL by Wycliffe. The organization says there are more than 200 different sign languages being used in the world and some 70 million people worldwide communicating with sign language.
