Deaf Firefighter

Adam Bondurant works for the North Santa Rosa County fire department in the Florida panhandle. Born deaf, Adam battled a rare medical condition that sent him to the hospital many times as a child. But when he was still young, he told his grandfather he’d become a firefighter when he grew up. And Adam has done just that. He received a cochlear implant at the age of eleven and never looked back.
