There's a connection between hearing loss and falling, according to new research out of Baltimore. Doctors from Johns Hopkins University and the National Institute on Aging looked at information from a group of 40 to 69 year olds and they found more than 14% of the participants in the survey with a significant hearing loss reported falling in the past year. The odds of having a serious fall more than doubled with each 10 decibles of hearing loss. That was true, even when adjusting for health issues. Details are in the
