The Toronto-area native was the Sabres' 5th-round pick in last month's NHL draft. Sutch reads lips and uses hearing aids, but not sign language. Last season, he played just 43 junior hockey games. An ankle sprain kept the 6-foot-2, 193-pounder away from the ice for nearly two months. He also suffered through a staph infection and separated shoulder. Sutch says he's now healthy and ready to show what he can do.
