Lynn McElfresh has written a new book for young readers called
Strong Deaf. The unique aspect of this book is that it is partly written from the perspective of a deaf girl. Her American Sign Language is translated into English exactly as she expresses herself. In the book, her sister is the only hearing person in her family. McElfresh wrote
