Hearing "I love you" once again

After a decade of silence, deaf actor, playwright and stand-up comedian Sophie Woolley says her biggest thrill since having her implant turned on was hearing her husband once again say "I love you." Woolley writes in the Daily Mail, "I had been profoundly deaf for several years, and we had come to rely on signing to communicate... But the flick of a techno-switch on the cochlear implant fitted in my skull finally transported me back to a lost world." The Daily mail tells her story here.
