I King Jordan will be one of the runners in this year's
Leadville Trail Marathon in Colorado. Jordan co-founded the American Association of People with Disabilities, but is best known for making history in 1988 when he became the first deaf president of Gallaudet University. President Barack Obama recently appointed King to serve on the Commission on Presidential Scholars. He'll join nearly 1000 other runners a week from Friday in Leadville, Colorado for one of the most challenging marathons in the world because of the rugged terrain and extreme altitude changes.
