Services for deaf under fire in New York

Members of the Deaf community in New York State, including the Empire State Association of the Deaf, want state lawmakers to pass a measure that would "require sign language interpreters to be licensed by the state and also would create a statewide commission to oversee their activities," reports the Times Union.
