Deaf Toddler gets Brain Stem Implant

A two-year-old boy just had his brain stem implant turned on. A cochlear implant didn't work for Alex Frederick of Michigan. So his parents and doctors decided to try a brain stem implant. The procedure costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. It isn't approved for use in the U.S. yet, but is undergoing trials.
