Missouri's St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf will offer a learning program for children over the Internet. The iHear speech and language therapy for children includes security measures to ensure privacy and compliance with federal regulations related to HIPAA and FERPA. The advantage for families living in rural areas is the absence of time and travel costs. The Institute says all the children up to age six that used the program improved their scores. A symposium is being held today in St. Louis about the iHear program. It is accessible online. For more information go
