NC Hearing Aids

North Carolina law now requires that any state health plan cover hearing aids for anyone up to age 21. This includes replacements, hearing aid evaluation, fitting and adjustments, and supplies. Insurers will have to pay up to $2,500 per ear for hearing aids every three years for children up to 21 years of age. Third-grader Collin Tastet of Greensboro led the lobbying effort.
