Research Funding

The University of Cincinnati is getting a large grant to develop technology that would help health-care staff members better interpret speech. Most of the $850,000 funding from the National Institutes of Health will go toward creating neuroscience researchers software to screen speech patterns. But some of the funds will go toward developing a speech-monitoring device to help the deaf communicate with others.
