What you may not know is that she uses her celebrity status to bring attention to the Auditory Oral School of New York. She says the school’s goal is moving either deaf or children with hearing loss into mainstream classrooms in New York. Her husband, Alexandre Count de Lesseps, began having trouble hearing in his right ear five years ago. So she considers it a personal mission to help anyone who has difficulty in the same way.
